His Story

Hunter has successfully led new business development, new business creation and management team turnarounds. As a C-level leader Hunter understands mergers, acquisitions and the strategic needs of business, whether it is a start-up company or an established organization that needs to reinvent and raise its revenue.

In 2014, as a consultant with Kberg Consultants, Hunter created over $4 million in a capital raise. In 2015-16, he was a managing partner with ScaleFinance. His role included counseling small–medium sized businesses on how they need to hire, train and select their leaders. He also recently held a high-profile CEO role with Carolina Digital; a company with 11 separately distributed produce lines through the US, Asia and additional international locations. Hunter also recently led Nelson Pharmaceuticals as CEO in evaluating and selling its key intellectual property to other life science companies.

He is a past Board Member with BioLink Life Sciences (2001-09), a clinical research organization in RTP and Touch Scientific, Inc. (1998-2006) until the company was sold. Currently, Hunter’s board commitments include: Emerging Women NC, (2016-present) a non-profit organization promoting growth of women throughout North Carolina; Executive Officer and Board Member of IMAF-RTP Fund I (2014-present), a micro-angel fund with over $3 million in investments; Executive Officer and Board Member of IMAF-RTP Fund II (2017-present), a new micro-angel fund and UnitDose Solutions (2004-present), which is a pharmacy services outsourcing company.

Alongside his many business interests and successes, 15 years ago, Hunter's family added triplets. Whether it's soccer, swimming or school, he’s very proud of all of his children. However, being the parent of triplets requires a little bit more from both parents, which is why giving back to the community is so important to both and his wife. Hunter has served as State Director of Fall Games with Special Olympics (1995-2001), volunteer on the Council of Entrepreneurial Development (2011-present), board member of North Raleigh United Methodist Church (2002-2004), and as a soccer coach of both boys and girls youth teams (2011-present) . Volunteering for charitable organizations that serve children and young adults remains a passion Hunter's entire family shares. That passion will continue, regardless of his next engagement as a business development specialist or business leader.
